The Friends of St. Jude central website and the individual Friends of St. Jude group websites are designed to promote the Friends of St. Jude fundraising program.  Guests can subscribe to their group’s website and receive program and event updates through a blog.

The Friends of St. Jude program allows you to be a part of helping St. Jude find new treatments for cancer, sickle cell and other diseases.

Please be aware that if you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. Think carefully before revealing any personal information such as age, financial information, or marital status. Consider using a pseudonym, avoid listing your name and E-mail address in any public directories and profiles, and find out about your ISP’s privacy policies and exercise your options for how your personal information may be used.  When you enter information on a web site or any place on the Internet, you’re giving up a bit of your privacy. At best, your name could wind up in some database, probably to be used to sell you something now or later. At worst, it could be used to harm or exploit you.

Please read these Terms of Use before posting any material to www.stjude.org or to any features of this site, (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms of use. If you do not agree to these terms of use, please exit the Service. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to modify, add or delete portions of these terms at any time by posting updated terms of use on the Service. Please check these terms frequently for updates. Any modifications, additions or deletions to these terms shall be effective immediately upon posting of updated Terms of Use. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of updated terms of use will mean that you agree to the Terms of Use.

Use of the Service

If you use the Service, you must follow a few simple rules:

1. You may not post, upload or transmit any messages or materials anonymously or under a false name or a false e-mail address.

4. By posting, uploading or transmitting any material on or through the Service, you hereby grant St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, copy, sublicense, modify, transmit, publicly perform or display that material, and your name and location (city, state and/or country), if you provide that information to us, in connection with that material, in all media, whether or not now known.
5. Persons under the age of eighteen (18) MUST obtain parental permission before posting, uploading or transmitting material on or through the Service.  For this reason, we do not permit children to create or maintain their own tribute page – a parent or guardian must register as the author and take responsibility for the tribute page.  We require that our authors and their visitors take similar precautions before giving a child under the age of 13 access to the Service.  We recommend that parents and guardians instruct their children on the safe use of the Service and supervise their children as necessary. 6. You are solely responsible for any content posted, uploaded or transmitted to the service.  St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital does not and cannot review every message posted by you and is not responsible or liable for any materials posted by others through the Service. However, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has the right (but not the obligation) to delete, edit or move any material that it deems, in its sole discretion, to be in violation of these Terms of Use, or which it otherwise, in its sole discretion, considers to be objectionable.
7. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital cannot verify the accuracy of statements that users place on or through the Service, and does not guarantee that any material has been posted, uploaded or transmitted with the permission of the copyright or proprietary owner or is otherwise in compliance with these Terms of Use.  While we do not seek to limit expression of ideas, certain materials and language will not be tolerated. Each author and visitor is solely responsible for the information, data, text, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages or other materials ("Content") he or she posts on this Site. This means that you, and not St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, are entirely responsible for all Content that you upload, post, transmit or otherwise make available to others using this Site.
8. Under no circumstances will St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital be liable in any way for any Content posted on or made available through the Service by you or any third party. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital does not control the Content posted on individual tribute pages and, as such, does not guarantee the suitability, accuracy, integrity or quality of such Content. In particular, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital does not control and is not responsible for the accuracy, correctness, completeness, or currency of any medical and/or patient information posted on or made available through an individual's tribute page.
9. You understand that by using the Service, you or your visitors may be exposed to Content that is offensive, indecent or objectionable. You may not post, upload or transmit any material or links to material that is libelous, defamatory, false, obscene, indecent, lewd, violent, abusive, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, in violation of the law or that constitutes hate speech. By using the Service, you agree to abide by these rules. You acknowledge that St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has the right to delete, edit or move material that it deems, in its sole discretion, to be in violation of these Terms of Use, or which it otherwise, in its sole discretion, considers to be objectionable. You acknowledge that St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has the right to limit or terminate access to the Service for any reason, including violation of these Terms of Use. 

Representations; Indemnity
