On Saturday, May 15, Friends of St. Jude raised $1,095.56 at Village Valuables, the annual German Village Sidewalk Sale. Thanks to many generous donors, we were able to sell a wide variety of valuables, including Christmas décor, patio furniture and clothing.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is the charity ranked highest in trust in the United States, according to a public survey conducted by the international research firm Harris Interactive. "This is an affirmation of the value of the lifesaving work St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has been conducting for almost 50 years," said Dr. William E. Evans, CEO and director of St. Jude.

As Friends of St. Jude, we are a unique network of young professionals in the Columbus area dedicated to the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The central purpose of our group is to raise funds to support the lifesaving work done at St. Jude. In addition, our goals are to increase awareness of St. Jude within our local community, provide local volunteer support and create an engaging environment where young professionals with a common interest of supporting this great cause.

The week of March 29 is a big one for Friends of St. Jude Columbus. A benefit concert featuring Jesse Henry and the Royal Tycoons is being held Wednesday (March 31) in Mees Hall at Capital University. On Thursday, Whole Foods Market - Lane Avenue will donate 5% of net sales to our group.
